“Huff” and “Puff” were found wandering about in daylight hours when they were about 5/6 weeks old. Huff was picked up and taken home by some sensible people and when he was collected, they told us that there was a second cub out wandering alone. They’d resolved to leave her there because she “looked cross”! Jane and Marilyn decided they’d check out the field where Huff was found. After searching three fields and just as the light was fading, they discovered a little blob on the ground at the very spot where they’d agreed to meet up. To their amazement, it was the other cub. They were ecstatic. They found the remains of a dead badger on the main road and think the cubs were coming out to find their mum. Both cubs did very well and have now left for the start of a new beginning. |
